The Moldovan students from Romania demand justice
By Valeriu Gonta / Chisinau / Moldova.org / -- The Bessarabian Students Organization from Bucharest (OSB) will organize a protest in front of the Russian Embassy in Romania’s capital on Monday, January 9, at 3:00 PM (local time).
According to a group created on Facebook, the Moldovan students from Bucharest demand justice in the case of the teenager killed by a Russian peacekeeper on Moldova’s territory.
“We condemn the crime committed by the ‘peacekeepers’ from Transnistrian zone and ask for legal actions for punishment. We hereby demand the removal of all the Russian peacekeeping stations from Transnistrian region. We qualify unacceptable Valeri Kuzmin’s allegation, the Russian ambassador to Chisinau,” said the members of OSB in an official statement.
Mr. Kuzmin has previously said that he regrets the teenager’s death, but the Russian soldier’s action was right. He added that Vadim Pisari was drunk and that he was driving a stolen car. This information was repulsed later on by the investigation.
OSB is a non-governmental association from Bucharest which aims on educating the Moldovan teenagers to promote the national unity and the European concept, democratic values.
