On September 1, a group of Russian militiamen entered the premises of the Gymnasium (lower-secondary educational school) of the village of Corjova, Dubăsari rayon, under excuse that the building has been allegedly mined.

Actually they were sent to impede the hoisting of the National Flag of the Republic of Moldova by the school administration, and intoning the hymn of the country by the schoolchildren, on the occasion of school year beginning.

When contacted by the “TIMPUL” daily newspaper, the director of the gymnasium, Constantin Sucitu, stated he was about to brawl with the militiamen because of the flag hoisting.

To mention is that the village of Corjova, Dubăsari rayon, is one of the few villages placed on the left bank of the river Nistru, which is not under total control of the Russian occupational regime, but still, quite often brutally harassed by the militia of the self-styled Moldovan Transnistrian Republic.
