The European Union will continue to support Moldova

Chisinau / Moldova.org / -- The Moldovan Prime-Minister Vlad Filat had an official meeting today with Dirk Schuebel, the head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova, according to a press release.

The politicians talked about the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova and the case of January 1, 2012. The head of the EU Delegation to Moldova welcomed the reforms implemented by the Government during 2011.

“The EU will continue to advocate the Republic of Moldova on its way to democratization, and hopes that 2012 will be as good as was the previous year,” said the Ambassador.

Vlad Filat thanked for the good feedback saying that Moldova succeeded to fulfill its responsibilities, but there is one more problem to be solved – a president to be elected.

The premier expressed his regrets regarding the case of Vadim Pisari. He noted that the authorities have taken all the necessary actions for an objective investigation. Dirk Schuebel also added that the European Union supports Moldova and will continue to work on finding a solution for the Transnistrian conflict.
