The electoral council of Buteni may start its offcial activity
The electoral council constituted for the organization of elections of mayor from the village of Buteni, Hancesti district, may start working officially, after on Friday, the decision regarding its constitution had been published in the „Official Monitor”, DECA-press transmits.
Before that, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) faced some problems connected with the constitution of this Council. CEC couldn't take a decision in this context because the members of the Commission delegated by the Communist Party was against a candidature in the Council proposed by the Christian-Democratic People's Party (PPCD).
PPCD gave up in the end and proposed another candidature, which permitted CEC to approve the membership of the Council.
The need of approving the new members of the Council appeared after, at the end of the last year, the previous members quit the council as a sign of protest towards the fact that, even if in 2007, many attempts of electing the mayor of Buteni have been taken, all of them failed.
The new Council will be responsible for the organization of elections, fixed on March 2nd. // DECA-Press
