The Council of Europe is pleased by the reforms made in Moldova
Jean-Claude Mignon, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is visiting Moldova. He was met today by the President of the Moldovan Parliament Marian Lupu, who said that the partnership with PACE is a strong one and he appreciated the Council of Europe’s support in developing political, democratic and economic reforms in Moldova.
The foreign official said that the election of the President in Moldova is an important signal for the European Union and welcomes the Parliament’s activity in achieving their goals, as well as the commitment towards PACE.
„PACE President emphasized that Republic of Moldova has achieved most of its commitments beared towards the Council of Europe and the legislation of our country has positively evolved,” informs the Press Office of the Moldovan Parliament in a press release.
The Council of Europe will continue to support Moldova to undertake the necessary reforms, said Mr. Mignon.
