Tea Partiers gather in Washington in opposition of health care bill
On the eve of the U.S. House of Representatives voting this weekend on a health care bill, the Tea Party members will gather to voice the concerns of millions of Americans. Among organizers are Tea Party Patriots, Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), FreedomWorks, Faith and Freedom Coalition, Institute for Liberty, Let Freedom Ring, 60 Plus and others.
Rep. Michele Bachman and actor John Voight, among other conservatives, will speak at the rally before walking the halls of Congressional office buildings asking U.S. Congressmen to stand with their constituents and vote against the government takeover of the health care industry.
The meeting, expected to gather tens of thousands participants is taking place on Saturday, March 20 at noon on the West Lawn of the Capitol building in Washington, DC.
The Tea Party protests are a series of nationally-coordinated protests across the United States beginning in early 2009.
