Socialists are sorry for the dissolution of URSS

The Socialist Party from Moldova (PSM) regret the dissolution of URSS and affirms that the period in which Moldova was included in the Union was one of the most important in the development of the country, DECA-press Agency communicates.
On Wednesday, the party organized a press conference where the co-president of the faction, Veronica Abramciuc, declared that mainly due to the development from that period of time, Moldova had the necessary basis to become afterwards an independent state. The conference was dedicated to the day of December 30th, when there will be 85 years since the creation of URSS.
„Today, when we are in the process of globalization, we are aware of the fact that all the states, including the developed ones, have to join together and form different unions to solve the basic problems in common. Unfortunately, the existent unions, including EU, do not provide equality for all participants and provide a differentiation of status and social-economical levels of development of countries and their life levels”, she declared.
PSM considers that, at an international level, Moldova must follow Switzerland’s example, which is not a member of the European Union, NATO and it doesn’t even hurry to enter the Shenghen area.
The faction believes that this would be the optimal position today, because “nobody expects Moldova with the open arms in any union and nobody wants to assume the responsibility to solve its problems”. // DECA-Press
