Sergey Naryshkin: For us, Republic of Moldova is an equal and respected partner

Yesterday, September 10th, The Prime Minister Vlad Filat had a meeting with the Chairman of the State Duma of Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin. The two officials discussed a wide range of topics present on the agenda of Moldo-Russian relations.

“For us, Moldova is an equal and respected partner. I believe that this potential could be expanded including in the context of cooperation within CIS”, Sergey Naryshkin mentioned.

The Russian official positively appraised the dynamics of Moldo-Russian relations, referring also to the need to trigger the activity of the intergovernmental commission for social and economic cooperation, in order to exploit the full development potential of bilateral relations.

Vlad Filat mentioned that economic relations between two countries showed a positive dynamics, which is due to lifting all trade barriers between Moldova and Russia. In this context, the Prime Minister expressed Moldova’s interest in attracting Russian investments in the economy of our country.
