Romanian-American priest Netanyahu to be released from custody
The court of the Chisinau Riscani sector on Friday decided to release from custody Romanian-American priest Johnattan Netanyahu, who has been accused of participating in the 7 April post-election riots in Moldovan capital Chisinau.
Netanyahu is citizen of both the United States and Romania.
Under the court decision, Johnattan Netanyahu would not have the right to leave the country and speak to witnesses. He will also have to visit investigative bodies as many times as it would be necessary. Although the decision to release Netanyahu was taken on Friday, he was allowed to quit the prison No 13 only on Monday, 13 July, at 18:00 local time, when his arrest warrant expires.
