Romanian foreign ministry to issue simplified form to get cross-border permit
Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat had a phone conversation with Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc today, the government's press service has said.
The two prime ministers made a short review of the present stage of the bilateral relations, referring particularly to the situation as regards the entering into force of the agreement on small-distance cross-border movement.
Vlad Filat mentioned the problems faced by Moldovan citizens while getting the permit for free-visa access to Romania's border zone. The prime minister told his Romanian counterpart that he collected facts about the situation on the spot during a visit to the consular section of the Romanian embassy in Chisinau.
The Moldovan prime minister also referred to the instructions given at a today's government meeting to facilitate the implementation of the agreement on the small-distance cross-border movement, and especially the procedure of getting permits by Moldovan citizens.
Prime Minister Emil Boc said that today he empowered the Romanian Foreign Ministry to issue a new simplified form to get the cross-border permit.
Also, the Romanian prime minister referred to some simplified conditions likely to facilitate the permit's obtaining, such as a declaration by the permit applicant on his/her own responsibility.
The two prime ministers spoke out for the settlement of the problems appearing during time by means of a constructive and open dialogue.
