Romanian Foreign Minister to visit Moldova
The Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Cristian Diaconescu will visit Moldova tomorrow, January 31, informs the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova. Mr. Diaconescu will meet with his Moldovan counterpart Iurie Leanca. At 12:00 PM (local time), the statesmen will hold a press conference.
For Cristian Diaconescu this will be the first official journey as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania after he was recently appointed into his position. During December 2008 and October 2009 he had the same position.
Mr. Diaconescu was named the Minister of the Romanian Foreign Affairs after Teodor Baconschi was dismissed by the Romanian premier on the grounds of harsh comments about the protesters.
