Romania speaks nicely about Moldova to the EU

The European perspective of the Republic of Moldova was among the topics discussed by the Romanian Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu during an official meeting organized yesterday, February 1, with the ambassadors of the EU member states accredited to Bucharest.

Minister Diaconescu passed in review the results of his visit to Moldova on January 31 and had underlined Romania’s active support for European aspiration of the neighbor. The Romanian official emphasized the priorities on the bilateral agenda which includes the Action Plan of the Strategic Partnership which is designed to support the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, as well as developing a more dynamic economic co-operation, especially on projects regarding strategic projects of infrastructure and energetic interconnection.

Cristian Diaconescu visited Moldova on January 31, 2012 on his first official trip to a foreign country. He was recently appointed as Romanian Foreign Minister, after Romania’s premier Emil Boc dismissed Teodor Baconschi due to harsh comments.
