President of Ukraine requires a more rigid politics in relationship with Moldova and Romania
Chisinau (Moldova.ORG) --The President of Ukraine declared this days in a meeting with the chiefs of the diplomatic missions of Ukraine that “Ukraine must be more active in the protection of it's interests in the relations with Romania and the Republic of Moldova.”
Mr. Ianukovici declared that: Ukraine must be more active in the protection of it's interests in the relations with Romania and Republic of Moldova, without compromises detrimental to our national interests.
Ianukovici accentuated the necessity to a more active participation in the solution of the Transnistrian conflict, mentioning also the importance of assuring the inviolability, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state.
The President of Ukraine declared that the Bucharest and Chisinau must perceive Kiev as a “strong partner”.
Recently the Ukrainian President made a series of declarations concerning the necessity of a plan of cooperation and other activities regarding the Republic of Moldova. This shows the increased interest of the Ukrainian political forces, for Republic of Moldova, in the context, when the Romanian President Traian Basescu declared repeatedly that he believes Moldova will unite in the close future with Romania.
