PLDM leader says party to ensure conditions for maintaining present Moldovan ruling alliance

"The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) is the party that will ensure conditions for maintaining the Alliance for European Integration," PLDM leader Vlad Filat said after a today's meeting with his party fellows.

The PLDM leader stressed that the participants in the above meeting discussed actions that are to be undertaken. "First of all, we should formulate exactly our offer to the partners from the Alliance for European Integration and start negotiations with the AIE colleagues."

Also, Filat said that he will accept discussions with the Party of Communists (PCRM) too. Vlad Filat emphasized that he is interested in PCRM's opinion about the evolution of the events in the long run, given a very clear situation which appeared in Moldova. "Over 60 per cent of the Moldovan voters opted for continuing the actions taken in 2010," Filat added.

At the same time, the PLDM leader underlined that "to have a dialogue with the PCRM does not mean a coalition." Despite these statements, Filat said that it is possible that the opposition gives two votes to the democratic government to elect Moldova's president.

As for the partition of the posts, the prime minister said that he will not accept blackmail and conditionings. "Before starting the process of dividing the offices, we should agree upon the principles according to which the future coalition will function. I do not want the society further wonder about whose is a certain minister." To this end, the AIE members will sign a Commitment that will establish exactly the conditions, principles and partitions.

After the parliamentary polls, the PLDM garnered 29.38 per cent of the suffrages, and will have 32 MP seats.
