Parliament announces Contest for filling ACC vacancies
Two profiled Standing Committees of the Moldovan Parliament - for Legal Issues, Appointments and Immunity and for Culture, Sciences, Education, Youth, Sports and the Mass Media - have announced a contest to fill three vacancies that have appeared in the 9-member Audiovisual Coordinating Council (ACC), following the expiry of the mandates of Camelia Albu, Valeriu Soltan and Ruslan Plesca.
Position seekers will be welcomed with their applications from January 17 to February 7.
According to the law, applicants for ACC positions must meet certain requirements: they must have a higher education and minimum 5 years' work experience in the spheres of television or/and radio, telecommunication technologies, law, finance, accounting, or business running. They must be not younger than 25, speak the official language, and have no previous convictions.
Besides this, the ACC is closed to persons, whose relatives hold shares in commercial companies, whose activities are incompatible with the ACC membership.
Infotag's dossier: The ACC personal composition is renewed step by step given that three members in it bear 6-year mandates, other three members - 4-year mandates, and the rest three - 2-year mandates. During their terms of office, ACC members are not subject to replacement. They may not belong to any political party, and have no right to run any other businesses or activities except teaching and scientific researches.
