Next Sitting of CIS Economic Council to be Held in Chisinau
On Friday the CIS Economic Council will carry out its 47th sitting in the Moldovan capital city – Chisinau. In 2009 Moldova presides in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, delegations from Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine will participate in this forum.
Representatives of the ministry told Infotag that the agenda includes 14 issues: cooperation in the field of developing transport corridors, fixing the rules for the origin of goods in the frame of the CIS countries; operation of electric networks with the possibility of connecting national electric energy systems...
Chairman of the Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary, Russian Vice-Premier Igor Shuvalov, First Azerbaijan Vice-Premier Yagub Yeyubov, Armenian Minister of Territorial Governance Armen Ghevorkian, Belarusian Vice-Premier Vasily Sokovich, Ukrainian Minister of Economy Bogdan Danilishin will participate in the sitting.
First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Trade Igor Dodon is charged with presiding at the sitting. Speaking about the meaning of this forum, he said that for the first time such sitting will not be carried out in Moscow.
