On Tuesday, the National Tax Inspectorate embarked on a financial check of all the three parliamentary opposition forces - the Liberal Party, the Liberal Democratic Party, and the Moldova Noastra Alliance - to learn how they used the law-envisaged means in the run-up to the 2009 parliamentary elections.

LDPM leader Vlad Filat perceived the step as pressure on the opposition. Today, he filed with the Ministry of Finance an inquiry demanding to carry out an analogous financial check of the Communist Party.
