New structure of the Moldovan government approved
The new Government of the Republic of Moldova will consist of 16 ministries and 8 bureaus, services and agencies, as per the amendments to the Law on Government adopted by Parliament in the final reading last week.
The sixteen ministries are: the Ministry of Economy; the Ministry of Finance; the Ministry of Justice; the Ministry of the Interior; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration; the Ministry of Defense; the Ministry of Construction and Regional development; the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry; the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure; the Ministry of Environment; the Ministry of Education; the Ministry of Culture; the Ministry of Labor, Social protection and family; the Ministry of Health; the Ministry of Youth and Sports; and the Ministry of Information Technologies and Telecommunications.
The Government will include also the National Bureau of Statistics; the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre; the National Bureau for Inter-Ethnic Relations; the Border Service; the Moldsilva Forestry Agency; the Agency for Material Reserves; the Tourism Agency; and the Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (CCECC).
In the second reading, the parliamentary majority Alliance for European Integration declined the Communists' motions on restoring such central governmental units as the Ministry of Reintegration, the Customs Service, and the Ministry of Local Public Administration.
