New Moldovan president to be elected on September 10
The ruling coalition - the Alliance for European Integration (AEI), which consists of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (LDPM), the Liberal Party of Moldova, the Democratic Party of Moldova and the Moldova Noastra Alliance, will make its first attempt to elect the new Moldovan President on September 10, Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova Vladimir Filat told Infotag.
He did not rule out that the Alliance may unveil the candidatures for the posts of the President, the Speaker and the Premier already this Friday after the newly elected Parliament members receive their parliamentary mandates.
"As for the ministries of the new Government, there are many proposals on the part of experts and a respective decision will be taken in the near time", Filat said.
AEI will officially invite the Communists for a dialogue in the near days, in all probability on Friday after the handing-in of the parliamentary identity cards to the newly elected Parliament members. Chairman of the Democratic Party of Moldova Marian Lupu told journalists.
He underlined that the settlement of the political crisis and the formation of the leading organs of the Republic of Moldova depends on this dialogue.
In his opinion, the country's interest must be put in the foreground and any leading organ must be efficient both from political and professional viewpoints.
Leader of the Liberal Party of Moldova Mihai Ghimpu was more careful; he remarked that the coalition will begin its dialogue with the Communist Party, when it is necessary.
"We must discuss more important problems first. We are currently working out the structure of the Government and the Parliament", he said.
Chairman of Moldova Noastra Alliance Serafim Urechean said that a meeting with the Communist leaders will take place in the near days. At the same time, he did not rule out that the Communist Party may neglect the Democratic parties, like it made after the elections of April 5.
