Never on trial, but already justified

Wonderland
Election campaign of 2011 in the Transnistrian region of Republic Moldova reminds me of taking a shower in a cold bathroom. You open the hot water tub; clouds of dense steam fill a small room. You wait for heat, but still you feel cold. You can't see a thing. The mirror hides under a blanket of the droplets of water, all subjects around lose habitual outlines and look differently. Also it seems that you are no longer in the room, in front of a mirror, but on its other side.
At the end of October, a month before the first ballot, the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation has decided that it's a high time for bath for Igor Smirnov (the citizen of the Russian Federation), and has opened the tub of hot water. This is when dense clouds of sensational exposures of "labor activity of an united family of the leader of separatists" started to tumble.
Life of the poorest nation of Transnistrians in Europe has lost its habitual outlines. Wonderland world of carefully hidden life of the permanent president unknown till now has been revealed, the world which has been carefully hidden before. The magnificent house with antique furniture in elite Moscow suburbs, a collection of luxury cars, enormous apartments in Moscow, paid by poor pensions and scanty salaries of the fooled people of Transnistria and by vanished millions dollars of the humanitarian aid. And even much more magnificent property of president's sons and daughters-in-law in picturesque mountains and on azure coasts of far-away countries.
Hay straws for Smirnov
Smirnov as a monument during a strong earthquake, has begun to shake. All have understood that he won't be stable any more. And, true, after the first round of the ballot the figure of Smirnov has strongly shaken, and after the second - has crashed down, but didn't brake into pieces, but was tumbled down so light, as if somebody has spread the hay straws on the place of his collapse. All has occurred marvelously silently and modestly, without noise and a dust clouds.
The Tushinsky thief
Larceny in narrow sense concept is a synonym of theft. Initially in Russian "larceny" meant struggle against state interests, crimes against authorities, and the word "thief" meant in fact “the state criminal”.
For example: "Pugachyov — the thief and the impostor", "the Tushinsky thief".
The person who is engaged in thefts, was called thief, and his craft — theft.
Islets of magnificent life
On January, 17th Antjufeev Vladimir, known also as Shevtsov, known also as former major of militia (MVD) in Riga, it the lieutenant-general, heading the Ministry of State Security of unrecognized Transnistria region for 20, the citizen of the Russian Federation, has been sent on pension. The formulation is: he is transferred to the reserve on reaching age limit of stay on military service, with the right of carrying of the military form of clothes. He has turned 61 – quite a long time of service which is dangerous and difficult. Though the general had a short beard and wore elegant suits, he couldn't hide his age, didn't rejuvenate with botex. He probably he didn't think about it, or was rather afraid, examining his face on TV with traces of amazing boldness. But he has thought in advance about his pension and where he will spend it. Addresses of these islets of happy pension life of the ex-minister:

The dollars, carried away by a wind of changes
It was known in the beginning of January that in all places for currency exchange of all Transnistria banks there were no more US dollars, they have disappeared. Oksana Ivanova (Smirnov's family personal wallet), Ivan Tkachenko (Smirnov's family personal doctor), and also some other "servants of the people" took huge bank loans based on their property in an “orphanage” district of Tiraspol.
"90 % of gold and exchange currency reserve have disappeared. All of the above was wired into anonymous accounts, after this not only the former head of Transnistria bank - Oksana Ionova, has resigned, but also one of the CEOs of the bank - Brizitsky was recommended to leave his position", - the new leader of unrecognized Transnistrian region Evgenie Shevchyuk has mentioned.
Never on trial, but already justified
"The former leader of unrecognized Transnistria region Igor Smirnov is not mentioned in any criminal cases in Republic Moldova, is told in official letters which representatives of the State Office of Public Prosecutor have sent to Kishinev newspaper Adevărul, informational, security services and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republic Moldova".
"Laws vainly exist for those who has no courage and means to protect them" (Thomas Makolej)
It would be possible to put period here, but one is eager to ask a question:
Who has a desire, courage and means in the Republic Moldova to protect the law?
