NATO information unit opened in northern Moldova
A NATO Documentation and Information Unit have been opened in the headquarters of the State University Alecu Russo in Moldova's second largest city located in the north Balti. The unit was inaugurated by the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Moldova jointly with the Lithuanian embassy in Chisinau. The organizers said that the goal of the NATO Documentation and Information Unit in Balti is to familiarize people with Euro-Atlantic principles and values, to back cooperation between Moldova and NATO and to implement objectives covered by the Moldova-NATO Individual Partnership Action plan. Attending the inauguration ceremony were the reactor of the Balti-based state university, Gheorghe Popa, Lithuanian Ambassador to Moldova Violeta Motulaite and representatives of the Foreign and European Integration Ministry and Defence Ministry.
