Moscow metro bombings - result of Russia's harsh methods in Chechnya (video)

Vyacheslav Izmailov, 56, from the independent newspaper "Novaya gazeta," blames Russian authorities and their harsh methods in Chechnya for creating the suicide bombers who blew themselves up in the Moscow metro.

BIO: Vyacheslav Izmailov was born in Makhachkala, Republic of Dagestan in 1954. He is now is a war correspondent of “Novaya Gazeta”. Izmailov, a major, has for many years been involved in negotiations to exchange Russian soldiers held captive by Chechen rebels. In 1995 after his article in "Novaya Gazeta" “I don’t want to draft into that army” he was sent to serve as an officer of the 205 motorized infantry in Chechnya. His first publications in “Novaya Gazeta” came out in 1995. The first hostages were released in April 1996. In 1985-87 he participated in the military operations in Afghanistan.
