Moldova-Ukraine relations assessed as positive

Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat had a meeting with the Ukrainian speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn. The counterparts reviewed the Moldovan-Ukrainian relations. The sides expressed the willingness of both states to further deepen cooperation ties and settle the present problems in a constructive and European spirit, according to a press release of the Moldovan Government.

The prime minister said that both Ukraine and Moldova have a common objective: integration into the European Union. He called on the two countries' lawmakers to join efforts to this end.
For his part, the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada praised the positive developments of the relations between Ukraine and Moldova, underlining that his country wants stable and predictable relations with Moldova.
