Moldova's Communists: Dismissal of the Supreme Court's chairman was illegal!
Chișinău / Moldova.ORG/ -- The Communist Party lawyer, Sergiu Sirbu, believes that today's dismissal of the Supreme Court's chairman, Muruianu, was illegal and it is likely to reflect a political decision.
Sarbu said that the Parliament actually dismissed Muruianu from a position he had not, because his mandate had already expired and he only exercised the interim position.
"The Parliament was not able to approve his dismissal, only the Supreme Judicial Council may issue such a decision, based on the Disciplinary Board decision".
The CPRM lawyer, wanted to say, also, that the Communist Party will appeal today's Parliament decision at the Constitutional Court.
"I'm sure the honored Court will find it is a serious interference and a political decision.
All the Alliance for European Integration leaders declared just yesterday, that the Supreme Court of Justice is breaking the law. Nor have ventured to examine the file.
I am so ashamed there are such lawyers in Moldova"- he said.
The lawyer concluded: "What happened today in Parliament, is an attempt to kneel and submit the entire judiciary."
