Moldovan prosecution asks EU send a forensic expert to Chisinau
The Moldovan Prosecutor-General's Office has asked the EU, through its special representative in Moldova Kalman Mizsei, to send a forensic expert to Chisinau to probe into the causes of the death of Valeriu Boboc.
By doing this, the prosecution intends to disprove accusations by the opposition Liberal Party, the Liberal Democratic Party and the Our Moldova Alliance, which say that Boboc died after being severely beaten by policemen in the wake of the 7 April mass riots against the alleged rigging of the 5 April election.
According to Moldovan forensic experts, Valeriu Boboc died of gas poisoning on 8 April.
