Moldovan PM Filat: We are ready to give up the referendum idea
Prime Minister Vlad Filat stated on Friday in Balti the initiators of the referendum for the amendment of the Constitution will give up this intention, if the decision of foreign experts is negative, DECA-press Agency informs.
„The process of modification of the Constitution through a referendum will be held in several stages. One of them is the examination of measures by European experts. If the decision is negative, we are ready to give up the referendum”, Vlad Filat said.
The Prime Minister states during the reunion with the Bati administration, local councilors, heads of institutions and local economic agents, the modification of the Constitution is to consolidate the country. This process should not worry people.
