Moldovan junior coalition party's leader advocates political stability after election
The leader of the junior coalition partner Our Moldova Alliance, Serafim Urechean, is confident that the coalition parties will have at least 61 MP seats in the parliament elected on 28 November, which will make it possible for them to elect a president.
"We have to elect the president, the parliament's leadership, the government and to ensure political stability in Moldova," Urechean said.
"It would be great if Their Highness, the voters, understand this," he added. "It will certainly be all right, because we all know that we need to stop these experiments. It is very important to have mutual understanding between the political forces that will make it to the parliament," Urechean said.
Referring to the big number of electoral contenders, Urechean noted that "it is a democratic exercise and nobody can prohibit the participation of all electoral contenders", but added that after the election many contenders would understand that it was absurd to enter the race.
