Moldovan early election may be held in end of July
First Deputy Chairman of the Moldovan Parliament Vladimir Turcan stated to the press after the plenary sitting that the early parliamentary elections may be held at the end of next month – most probably on July 26.
“This date is in harmony with the legislation, which says that elections must be held within maximum 45 days from the presidential decree’s coming into effect. It’s up to the head of state to decide when the decree should come out. But I think he will do it promptly. The opposition wanted these elections, so they will be held within a shortest-possible time. Situation in the republic does not permit our wasting time”, stressed Vladimir Turcan.
