Moldovan Democratic Party leader describes PLDM's offer as continuation of issues discussed in 2009
The leader of the Democratic Party (PD), Marian Lupu, has described the post-electoral offer, made public by the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), as a continuity of what was discussed in 2009.
Lupu stressed that this is practically a continuation of the previous debates. Yet, unlike the 2009 year, the PD wants a balanced mechanism of government, and not just discussions about who and what posts will hold.
"We want a true partnership and not a decorative one, and possibility for each member of the coalition to apply its plans and promises made to the voters."
Lupu said that the offer by the Party of Communists is more generous, as it allows fulfilling the electoral promises which the PD made before the polls.
Lupu said that, if the PLDM invites the Democratic Party to consultations, the PD team will accept. "We will insist on the same principles."
Today, PLDM leader Vlad Filat said that the formation which he leads wants the office of prime minister. At the same time, he proposed the post of Moldovan president for the PD and one of parliament speaker for the Liberal Party.
