Moldovan Defence Minister: Moscow supplies weaponry to the Transnistrian region
Moldovan Defence Minister, Vitalie Marinuta declared for Publika TV that Russia is modernizing the army deployed in the Transnistrian region. “Moscow supplies not only military trucks, but also weaponry. Such military equipment is not required in a peacekeeping mission”, Marinuta said.
The Defence Minister also mentioned that military training according to new scenarios and involving both Russian and Transnistrian soldiers take place in the region.
“There were brought to the region not only vehicles, but also other types of weapons. We witness an attempt of separatist forces and Russian Federation to include landing operations and assaults from water in peacekeeping scenarios”, he added.
