Moldova: Yesterday promises, bombs today, what tomorrow?
Chisinau / Moldova.ORG / - "If it was a political order, woe betide in the Republic of Moldova", said Mihai Godea at the press conference, referring to the assassination of the head of staff in the process of his election campaign, Igor Turcan.
According to Godea's declarations, Igor Turcanu was responsible for the security of the election campaign and did his job well. after being transported to the hospital, a lot of metal parts were extracted from his body, this was confirmed by doctors from the Emergency Hospital.
"We had a lot of dirty things", declared Godea, stating that in the elctions evening he was sent warnings even in a Chisinau a television station plateau. "I'd like to think it is a coincidence," he says. (Note that former Liberal Democrat Mihai Godea had an exchange of acid replicas with LDP leader, Vlad Filat, his ex-head of party).
"I find it absolutely horrible. By this act the democracy and the safety of citizens were struck. The authors of this coward act should take all the responsbility. If it was a political order, then woe betide in the Republic of Moldova", said Mihai Godea addressing to law enforcement to answer the question -" Who is behind Igor Юurcanu's assassinaton?", noting that "If they care about the country's democratization and modernization, they are bind to give answer to this question".
"I don't think people must die for others' desires. Citizens are still the target of such actions. They perfectly understand who are the authors", said Mihai Godea.
"I don't want things to be diverted. A man was killed, whom there was an idea of freedom, justice and truth behind. But ideas cannot be burned, shot or murdered. We will go forward", declared Godea.
In the context of the things happened, Mihai Godea required guard and protection from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Igor Turcanu knew it wasn't safe to be around me. It is very strange. He was never alone", specified the former Liberal Democrat. The fact that no one was next to Turcanu at the explosion means that he was being followed, like the route he was moving on", stated Godea. "Not to mention the mobile phones tapped around the clock, which are no secret for anyone".
"Such terrorist acts haven't taken place in the Republic of Moldova for about 15 years. Do you realize the bad plight the republic is in? Why now? - That's the question. I realize my gesture from May 3 was correct; it had to be done even earlier. We are collapsing. It is up to us in changing things", said Godea to the end.
Note that Igor Turcanu was injured after today's explosion in the center of the capital of a car with Russian license plates, he died of a heart attack. According to police, it is conceivable that the explosion was due to a bomb. "The attack" took place while Igor Turcanu was leaving the car. Doctors say he was transported to the hospital without a leg.
MIA representatives declared recently that Igor Turcanu's political activity had nothing to do with the explosion which lead to his death, his work as Chairman of Moldovan Tennis Federation and businessman is currently being examined.
