Moldova wants to strengthen relations with its neighbor Ukraine

Moldovan-Ukrainian co-operation was on the Moldovan premier’s agenda today. Prime-minister Vlad Filat had an official meeting with Mr. Serghei Pirojcov, the Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova.

At the meeting the counterparts made an exchange of opinions on the bilateral co-operation and the development outlooks of the relations between states, appreciating the progress registered so far. Among the topics discussed, the counterparts talked about the joint projects in the Eastern Partnership the countries have, and other regional projects.

Vlad Filat is about to have an official trip to Kiev during February 2-3, 2012 to discuss issues on the bilateral agenda. He hopes to find solutions on all of the problems on the agenda. Serghei Pirojcov is confident that Mr. Filat’s visit to Ukraine will strengthen the bilateral co-operation between states.
