Moldova: N. Gherman appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
Natalia Gherman, Moldova's former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the OSCE and to Sweden [and the daughter of ex-President Mircea Snegur] has been appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Government decided today on the proposal by Minister Andrei Stratan.
At a Government meeting, Prime Minister Zinaida Grechanaya highly appreciated Natalia Gherman's candidacy, remarking the Ambassador has a vast experience in the European integration sphere. Premier Grechanaya expressed hope Gherman would be efficiently promoting the country's integration into Europe.
Also, the Government has dismissed Director General of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) Vitalie Iurcu due to his appointment to another post.
The Government has accepted the resignation filed by Alexandru Gasca, adviser to former Deputy Prime Minister Valentin Mejinschi, who was in charge of power structures. Now this essential post is held by Iurie Rosca.
The Government has appointed First Deputy Premier, Minister of Economy and Trade Igor Dodon as the Republic of Moldova's National Coordinator at the Commonwealth of Independent States.
