Moldova has official talks with Russia on Pisari's case

By Valeriu Gonta / Moldova.org / -- The Moldovan Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Andrei Popov, had a phone conversation today with the Russian Secretary of State, Grigori Karasin. According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the counterparts talked about the tragic case of Vadim Pisari, an 18-year-old teenager who was shot deadly by the Russian peacekeepers deployed in Moldova.

“The Moldovan Vice-Minister called the Russian side to an active co-operation on this case and has underlined the importance of abstinence from any statements that can put in danger the crisis in the region,” the Ministry said in a press release.

The parts agreed upon the need of a fair investigation on the circumstances of the incident from Pirita town.
