Moldova: Coalition 2009 concerned with quality of electoral lists
The Coalition for free and fair elections “Coalition 2009” is concerned with the quality of electoral lists for anticipated parliamentary elections on 29 July 2009.
At the Thursday press conference, the League for Human Rights Defence, presented the second monitoring report of electoral campaign made within “Coalition 2009”.
The authors of the report say that, although civil society checking electoral lists is a premiere, the work with these lists is quite difficult and not efficient.
„The situation from the elections from 5 April is repeated. Although much effort is made, the term is short and the amount of work is big. That’s why we should not expect to have big changes in these lists”, the authors of the report say.
Political opposition parties assert that parliamentary elections from 5 April were falsified with the help of electoral lists.
