Moldova and Georgia signed a joint declaration on cooperation in the field of European integration
The Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Natalia Gherman met today, October 5th, the Head of Georgian diplomacy, Panjikidze Maia.
The sides exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations and their potential of development in the future, and noted in particular the importance of strengthening inter-ministerial contacts between the two countries.
The sides stressed the need to develop relations between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, economic agencies and activating the process of founding Moldovan-Georgian joint ventures, especially in areas such as agriculture, manufacturing, energy.
The officials of both countries have also shown willingness to align with European values and found that common interests create real conditions for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between Moldova and Georgia.
The two ministers signed the "Joint Declaration on Cooperation in the Field of European Integration of Moldova and Georgia".
The document provides systematic consultations on the topic of European integration, exchange of experience in areas of common interest and to encourage exchange of visits between journalists and civil society representatives from Moldova and Georgia.
