Manfred Grund: Moldova should better advertise itself in Europe
To achieve a stronger support from European nations in its efforts to join the European Union, Moldova should actively promote its image on the continent, German parliamentarian Manfred Grund stated in Chisinau on Monday evening during the European political forum organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
In his belief, Moldova should actively advertise itself in Europe through the printed media and television, and should present itself as a European, Christian country with a high culture and open to tourism.
The parliamentarian said that a Moldo-German forum was established in Berlin recently, and it has achieved success. In his opinion, this is proving that by acting in an analogous way Moldova can achieve popularity all over the European Union area.
Moldovan Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca said such forums permit Moldova to create an objective favorable international image.
“The forum presents the diverse interests of the German society at the levels of parliament, government and business circles. This is a specimen that should be used also in such countries as France, Great Britain, and the United States”, said Iurie Leanca.
