Libya: Gaddafi control building destroyed by missile attack

Chișinău / Moldova.ORG/ -- An air strike destroyed a building in Tripoli, Libya, which western authorities say was one of Gaddafi's "command centers".

For now it is uncertain whether there are victims and if Gaddafi was in the building at the moment of attack.

Forces of United States, Great Britain and France continue airstrikes, after United Nations has authorized in order to protect civilians from Col Gaddafi's armed forces.

U.S. officials said the target of attacks is not Muammar Gaddafi himself, but his armed forces and air defense systems.

A Libyan official said that after the attacks, 64 people were killed, but this information is not confirmed until this moment.

An official of one of the coalition countries who wanted to maintain anonymity, suggested that the destruction of the building lacked Gaddafi’s ability to command and control over his army.
