Israel reportedly plans amnesty for Fatah
Israel reportedly plans to pardon dozens of suspected Palestinian terrorists affiliated with Fatah’s military wing, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade.
Palestinian sources told Ynetnews.com Thursday the Israeli army has already approved pardons for 41 gunmen in Nablus as well as other West Bank suspects.
Israel in August granted amnesty to 300 Fatah suspects to gain good will from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
While Israel arrested three Palestinians this week as part of an anti-terrorist effort in Nablus, most of its efforts have been concentrated on Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas. // Copyright 2007 by United Press International
