Hillary Clinton will travel to Europe for official meetings
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will make an official visit to Bulgaria and Germany, announced on Friday Victoria Nuland, the secretary’s spokesperson.
Hillary Clinton will participate in the 48th Munich Security Conference. “This annual event brings together global leaders to discuss common security challenges. In her address to the Conference, the Secretary will reaffirm the fundamental importance of the transatlantic relationship and Europe’s role as an essential partner in addressing global security challenges,” said Mrs. Nuland. Mrs. Clinton will also hold bilateral meetings with some European counterparts.
On February 5 she will travel to Bulgaria’s capital of Sofia. Mrs. Clinton will meet with Bulgarian officials to discuss a whole range of problems concerning the democratic transitions in the Middle East and the US support for Afghanistan and energy security.
