The second Government of Premier Vladimir Filat's is going to reform the judiciary sector, law enforcement organs, and to adopt a new Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, judging by the new team's Work Program that will be presented to the Moldovan Parliament's plenary sitting on Friday.

Having entitled the Work Program "European Integration: Freedom, Democracy, Prosperity", the new Government has set itself the main goal to continue the European course set by the Filat Government-1, most of whose members will reportedly remain in the new team.

The document authors wrote in the Foreword that this new Program is an expression of continuity in meeting the previous commitments to Moldova citizens and foreign partners. A strategic objective is to achieve a tangible improvement of living standards and the country's integration into Europe. To achieve these goals, the Government will undertake a whole package of measures to improve citizens' social protection, develop the national economy, strengthen a law-governed state in Moldova, create new jobs, develop relations with external partners, attract investment, and cancel visas.

Among the new Cabinet's priorities are: demilitarization of the Ministry of the Interior, reorganization of the Center for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (CCECC), de-politicization of the Information and Security Service (ISS), a constitutional reform, reform and modernization of the prosecution system, of the Supreme Magistracy Council, Supreme Court, bar and notary institutions, de-monopolization of the domestic market, export promotion, investment attraction, support for small and medium enterprises.

In the international plane, the Filat Government-2 is going to develop mutually beneficial relations with West and East partners, strategic partnership with the European Union, Romania, Ukraine, Russia and the United States.

To resolve the Transnistrian conflict, the Moldovan Government will be insisting on pulling Russian troops out of the Transnistrian region, and will work to reach a conflict solution within the 5+2 format negotiations, which should be resumed.
