EU-Belarus relations will be assessed by the European Parliament
Chisinau / Moldova.org / -- The Committee on Foreign Affairs of European Parliament will assess the EU-Belarus relations since the presidential elections of December 19, 2010. The counterparts will talk on January 12 about current policy of the European Union towards Belarus and how have the ordinary citizens benefited from the implementation of these regulations, according to the European Parliament’s news portal.
On the same day, the Committee on Budgetary Control will talk about the implementation of aid provided by the European Union budget and the European Development Fund. Commissioner Andris Piebalgs who is responsible for Development will participate in the discussions.
The Committee on Petitions will be introduced to the resolution of the Commission for “European Year of Citizens 2013.” There will also be discussed issues about the nuclear power in Estonia, Spain, France and Finland, and a debate will be organized on the Draft report on EU Citizenship, the European Parliament informs.
