EU welcomes Moldova's reforms

Vice President of the European Commission Catherine Ashton welcomed the reforms undertaken by the Moldovan authorities. She appreciated Moldova’s role in accomplishing the goals of the Eastern Partnership.

“The high level informal reunion which is due to take place next week in Chisinau is a good opportunity to discuss the perspectives of the development of the Eastern Partnership,” Ms. Ashton said.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, the achievements gained so far by the Republic of Moldova are impressive and provide a higher value to Moldova’s approach to the European Union.

Ms. Ashton said the European Union is ready to bolster the co-operation relations with the Republic of Moldova in the field of EU Security and Defense policies.
