Elections in the Russian State Duma: First Results and Evidence of Infringements (VIDEO)

By Diana Ungureanu/ Chisinau / Moldova.ORG/ -- Until this moment there are known only the preliminary results of the elections of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on December 4, 2011, but it already refer to a vast number of falsifications and infringements from journalists, voters and even parties.

The time was only 16:00 (Moscow time), but CEC (Central Electoral Commission) of Russian Federation registered 68 petitions and referrals, according to the Deputy Head of CEC Leonid Ivlev: “From the voters there were registered 17 petitions, from political parties – 45 and the other petitions from representatives of CEC or mass-media.”

The party “Spravedlivaya Rosiya” (the Fair Russia) complained that for their observers there was denied the access to election stations, as well as to the so-called “carousel” – the mass transportation to locations of voters with a temporary registration.

The members of the party “Edinaya Rosiya” (the United Russia) assert that their opponents made illegal agitation during the vote time: “Actually there are a lot of violations. There are many infringements of the dissemination of leaflets near the voting stations, many attempts of infiltration of opposition party’s newspaper in this territory.”

The “Iabloko” (Apple) reported that “The elections turned into a game of catching the hand of the falsifier. We prepared for this thoroughly. The default part of the stations was closed by observers. They recorded already 400 violations. About 40 petitions were sent to the CEC.”

The PLDR and the CPRF also pointed to the large number of violations during the Sunday’s elections of the State Duma. Below there is a video, recorded on the place of infringement.

At the local time 23:03 the results of the exit-poll were as follows: on the basis of processing of 26.5% of election protocols by CEC of RF, the party “Edinaya Rosiya” (United Russia) leaded with 47,35% of votes, CPRF (Communist Paty) scored 20,25%, PLDR – 13,44%, “Spravedlivaya Rosiya” (Fair Russia) – 13,36%, “Iabloko” (Apple) – 2,6%, “Patrioty Rosii” (Russian Patriots) – 1,01%, “Pravoe Delo” (Right Action) – 0,55%.
