Dodon calls on Voronin to cooperate on the referendum to relieve the mayor of Chisinau of his position
The Head of the Socialist Party Igor Dodon addressed the leader of the Communist Party Vladimir Voronin to establish a constructive cooperation in organizing the referendum to relieve the mayor Dorin Chirtoaca of his position.
According to Dodon, “the Socialist Party welcomes the statement of the Communist group within the City Council on the need of Dorin Chirtoaca demission”. He suggests an open and constructive cooperation in launching and conducting the referendum for mayor’s demission.
Dodon informs the leader of Communists that the initiative group is being created and that signatures of Chisinau inhabitants will be collected in the nearest future.
The letter also says that the Socialist Party suggests launching the negotiations on cooperating in creating the working agenda of the City Council. “Together we have the majority of votes. If negotiations are successful, the distribution of power within the local public administration may change substantially”, the letter says.
