Communists' behavior raising the risk of new election in Moldova
The Alliance for European Integration presumes that the line of conduct chosen by the Communist Party (CPRM) is only building up the risk of having a new early parliamentary election.
Liberal Democratic Party leader Vlad Filat told your Infotag correspondent that the Communists' reluctance to enter into dialog with the Alliance and their intention to form a left-centrist coalition are indicative of their incapacity to obey to voters' choice and to yield power voluntarily.
"Yes the Communists came into power democratically, but now they would not agree to the very fact of their defeat, and would not give power", Filat said.
In his opinion, the CPRM's attempts to upset the formation of a democratic government in Moldova are but useless because the four democratic parties, which have won seats in parliament, have already proved their unity.
Democratic Party Chairman Marian Lupu said the Statement, issued by the Communist Party last Saturday, does not promote the starting of a constructive dialog. Moreover, it can even block the dialog. This presents a considerable danger and may only aggravate political crisis in Moldova.
"The coalition stood up with proposals concerning how to overcome the political crisis and prevent a possible new early parliamentary election. But instead of putting forward counter-proposals, the Communists are making statements, which cannot be perceived as constructive ones. The hazard of an early parliamentary election is getting stronger due to the non-flexible and non-constructive position of the Communist Party", said Marian Lupu.
He believes the CPRM must realize the responsibility it bears for the political crisis aggravation, and said, "We are unite as before, and we stand for negotiations in a European spirit".
Liberal Party Chairman Mihai Ghimpu presumes these are not the Communists who should make proposals concerning a political dialog, for "The dialog was initiated by us. And the Alliance for European Integration has been established by us, too. So, a dialog may be held only with the Alliance. It is my conviction that not a single of the four democratic parties will quit the Alliance for the sake of holding separate negotiations with the Communist Party".
MP Leonid Bujor of the Moldova Noastra Alliance is convinced "there are no traitors among the democratic parliamentarians. Therefore, the Communists will have to hold a dialog with all the four parties".
