CIS observers say election is going on correctly and orderly
This Sunday's early elections to the Moldovan Parliament are going on in a well-organized and orderly manner and are remarkable for quite a high voter activity, Evgenii Koliushin, a member of the Russian Central Election Commission, stated to journalists here today.
According to him, isolated reports have come about some irregularities, but they are not significant and cannot swing the elections.
"The atmosphere at polling stations and around them is calm, and I would say the voting is going on quite actively. A certain part of the Moldovan electorate is outside the country, yet this circumstance is not telling in any way on the voting process", said Koliushin.
He remarked that the CIS observers have some questions to electoral registers.
"As far as I was told, at some stations the number of ballot-papers available is substantially higher than the number of real voters. We will yet check this information both in Chisinau and other Moldovan localities", said the Moscow expert.
