CEC accredits other 1382 observers for 29 July Moldova's election
The Central Election Commission (CEC) accredited other 1 380 domestic and two international observers to monitor the preterm parliamentary election on 29 July.
The CEC accredited 1380 domestic observers from the Human Right Protection League (HRPL) and 2 international observers from the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Moldova.
In its sitting, the CEC established the polling stations where Moldovan citizens who have their residence in Bender city and other localities of Causeni district, that are temporarily under the sovereign control of the constitutional authorities of Moldova, will be able to vote at the preterm election.
According to the CEC, the voters of these localities will be included on additional polling lists, with the indication of the Bureau of the polling station.
In addition, these residents will have to cast their ballot in separate ballot boxes with the inscription ‘Special Ballot Box’. Thus, to ensure the security during the election at the polling stations in the Security Zone (in the Transnistrian region), the CEC turned to the domestic and international observers and the Joint Control Commission to monitor the peaceful process of election in the polling stations established in the localities on the left bank of the Nistru river.
Earlier, the CEC accredited 318 domestic and 51 international observers.
The necessary documents for accreditation as an observer in order to monitor the preterm election may be submitted until 25 July, 2009. Over 3000 national and international observers monitored the elections on 5 April.
