The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) accredited nine observers from the part of the League for the Defence of Human Rights (LADOM) for the elections from Buteni (Hincesti), scheduled for March 2nd, DECA-press transmits.
LADOM asked for the accreditation of ten observers, but the documents of one of them were not ok. The commission proposed LADOM to remove the discovered gaps and promised to come back to the accreditation of the tenth observer.
It is for the first time when observers ask for accreditation for the elections from Buteni, despite the fact in 2007, the elections in this locality were many times held.
Buteni is the only village from Moldova where, one year and half after the general local elections, the mayor hasn't been elected yet. Several attempts taken in this context last year failed. // DECA-Press
