The President of the United States of America, Barack Obama sent a congratulation message to the President of the Republic of Moldova, Nicolae Timofti on Independence Day, reports the Press Service of Presidency.
The President Obama outlined in his message the support of United States for the reform process Republic of Moldova had committed to. “The United States remains a true partner of the Republic of Moldova in its efforts to become a democratic ad prosperous member of the European community”, it is outlined in the message of Barack Obama.
He appreciates the recent efforts of Chisinau leaders for the resolution of the Transnistrian conflict and mentions that Republic of Moldova can count on the cooperation and support of United States to find solution to this problem in order to preserve the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova.
At the end of his congratulation message, Barack Obama notes that next year the close cooperation between the two states will continue as Moldovan authorities will work to ensure a promising future for their citizens.
